A beautiful knife suitable for any right handed home chef. --- this knife is thin, light, features a right handed bevel and stainless Damascus steel. Sharp out of the box. Packaging is suitable for gift giving. In specific, it has a weight of 77 grams and a blade length of about 135mm. Meaning it's a petty knife in a kiritsuke style. The balance point is just south of the golden band on the handle. This means it is atypically balanced for a pinch grip used by a professional chef, but I don't give much importance to the balance point. This balance point is probably better for most people as holding the handle naturally makes you hold it at the balance point. A more skilled chef didn't need this help anyway. The single bevel is somewhat atypical. In theory this means it's better for right handed users than left. Though if you're caring about that level of optimization you'd probably buy a more expensive knife. Very happy with it. Buy it. You'll like it.
